Big Time, It put the dock out of action for 8 years. Dipriving the Germany Navy of a base for it's pocket battle ships.

Chocks, thanks for the pic of Superb, will have to get moms pics, think there are some from the christening taken on board which show how compact everything is.

HMS Unicorn. Served 144 years in the Royal Navy from 1824 to 1968 she is one of the 6 oldest ships in the world. She is also the oldest warship's afloat in the world.
She is berthed alongside in Dundee where she has been for the last 100 years.

I thought I recognised the name HMS Defence. I found this some time ago. Ordinary Seaman William Kilmister.I must find out if I'm related to him?

I can find very little info on S.S. Sebek. I know she was a Liverpool registered ship in 1913. Her name had been Harpeake prior to this
This is a picture of her as Harpeake. But I suspect little had changed with the new ownership. She was torpedoed and sunk in 1917

Makes all the above a little confusing Frothy.
Why did he die on 21st April when Defence was listed as sinking on 31st April?
Why is he listed as being on Sebek when he was on Defence?
Why does he hold a RN Rate when he was a Merchant Seaman?
