The cottage homes I knew about were by Highcroft hospital, I didn't know anybody who was there, but I think my eldest sister went to school at wood end lane ? And one I'd her friends lived there.,, I am found back a few years
I went to Moor End chocks. Had lots of Cottage Homes kids there. The only ones that worn uniforms lol
Josiah Mason's Orphanage
I am writing a book on the orphanage on Orphanage Road, Erdington which was founded by Josiah Mason. Looking for anyone who has any memories of the orphanage (either as a resident, a worker, or a neighbour) or of the orphanage school.
Anyone interested, please get in touch either on here or email me at email@example.com
I've done a lot of research on Erdington Cottage Homes (I live just around the corner from them) and would be happy to share what I know if anyone has any questions etc.
More information can be found at http://www.childrenscottagehomes.org.uk/erdington.html
