Oh yes mate. Born in no1 Hillaries Rd. Right opposite Slade Rd School. After a short spell in Alum Rock, we moved into Albert Rd just off Slade Rd.
Went to Slade Rd School until seniors then moved to Wylde Green just near the Yenton.
Love all the old Erdington Pic's guys. Fond memories for me.




Another one of Slade Road, With the Star picture house in the distance, went to a lot of Saturday morning matinees there.
Just above that, the houses that the Brookvale pub replaced.
Try leaving your pushbike against the kerb like that these days and see how long it lasts.
